Quixotic (2015)
"Quixotic"
is
Joakim
Zelmerlööw's
third
album
and
is,
as
his
previous
albums,
entirely
self
produced
from
beginning
to
end.
It
features
works
by
Ponce,
Barrios,
Albéniz,
Moreno
Tórroba
and
Tárrega.
In
an
industry
where
classical
music
is
a
small
part
of
the
total
market
and
the
classical
guitar
an
even
smaller
slice
of
this,
classical
musicians
face
significant
challenges
irrespective
of
capability.
The
name
"Quixotic"
is
very
carefully
chosen
for
this
album
as
it
means
the
act
of
following
beliefs
even
though
they
are
foolish
or
pursueing
unreachable
goals.
Recording
an
album
consisting
of
nothing
but
extremely
well-known
works
for
classical
guitar
already
recorded
multiple
times
by
every
known
classical
guitarist
in
the
world,
is
no
doubt
idealistic
without
regard
to
practicality.

Joakim
Zelmerlööw.

Total playing time: 40:37
In tempo (2006)
The
album
“In
Tempo”
features
music
by
the
German
baroque
composer
Johann
Sebastian
Bach,
the
German
baroque
lute
player
Silvius
Leopold
Weiss
and
the
Spanish
19th
century
guitar
virtuoso
and
composer
Fernando
Sor.
It
also
features
new
music
for
classical
guitar

Zelmerlööw,

Total playing time: 70:48
